The Many Ways to Flavor Keto Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are great as snacks and meals. Because chicken wings are keto, we can explore this protein with many flavoring options. Don’t you love having them for a grill out during the summer or ready for Football season in the Fall? They're a great party snack, and everyone loves a chicken wing!

Traditional Buffalo Wings

Here we have Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Dip from Country Living. The wings are seasoned with Frank’s Hot Sauce, which is nice and spicy.

You can make these in the oven or air fryer. I like to cook the wings until they are almost done and the skin is nice and crispy. Then, I toss in the sauce and cook just a couple more minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Don’t forget the celery and the blue cheese dip to cool things down! Omit the buttermilk in the blue cheese dip recipe or substitute with half and half or heavy cream and then add a bit of butter flakes.

Garlic and Parmesan Wings Standby

I usually make this Garlic Parmesan version from KetoDiet when I make chicken wings. They are spicy, just not hot spicy, and sometimes I have to have them! Serve with ranch or Caesar dressing. They're great for game days, too!

A Spice Usually Reserved for Seafood

The Suburban Soap Box uses Old Bay, which is not your typical grilling spice but is excellent on chicken wings! Within a half hour, you’ll have chicken wings with this great flavor, and it is perfect for those who favor this Old Bay seasoning for their seafood.

Spice it Up

My stand-by is the previously mentioned Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings. But to change things up, I will try a different flavor and go with this Asian Chicken Wing recipe from East Be Fit Explore. This was a lovely change. It mixes tamari, gluten-free soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, chili paste, and maple syrup. I did leave off the baking powder, as I wanted it to be saucier.

It is excellent served with the Thai Peanut Sauce from this recipe.

Sweet Chili Chicken Wings

My simple creation - I seasoned the wings with my preferred spices and put them in the air fryer until the skin started to look a little crispy. Then, I brushed on G. Hughes sweet chili sauce and cooked until it was done. Pour more sauce on the wings when finished cooking!  These turned out SO good! And, so easy!

It is one of the best sugar-free sauces ever! I use it for so many things. If I don't know what's in the sauce, I’ll use it with oriental dishes and Chinese takeout. (I will order things dry and use this sauce!)

I hope you have discovered a recipe to try for your next grilling session!
