On the decadent meal scale, Fettuccine Alfredo has to rank pretty much at the top, but as long as you don’t combine it with starchy carbohydrate pasta, it can still be healthy. We won’t go there on the calories discussion, though! But I made a large Caesar Salad to go with this meal, so eat a nice portion of salad along with a smaller portion of the Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo, and you will be fine if you are concerned about calories. This meal also was for a special occasion.
This did turn out delicious and was definitely not an everyday meal, but I wish it could be! Here’s the scoop on how to make it. (All quantities are approximate and you can definitely make it and season it how you like it!)
This is SO yummy! I served this with a Caesar Salad and Olive Cheesy Chaffles, recipe here.
I buy this great sausage at Walmart.
I used this Cajun seasoning, but any good Cajun seasoning will work.
Here is the low-carb fettuccine I used. I rinsed it and heated it in the microwave for about 7 minutes and it comes out perfect, like carby pasta. I added some butter, also.
A great variety pack that lets you try all the shapes and does include the fettuccine.
