I was trying to think of a Valentine's breakfast, and a chaffle popped into my mind after I saw Mayra with Low Carb Love making this one on her YouTube Channel. She has a lot of really great keto/low-carb recipes there.
Can you guess the two ingredients? If you're thinking eggs, then that’s a pretty safe bet. But the other ingredient? No cheese is involved whatsoever! Do we have to call them waffles because of that?
It really can’t get much easier. Just three eggs and four tablespoons of natural almond butter! Does that surprise you? I did add just a tiny splash of vanilla. This made six chaffles so according to my expert calculations I would say they are 2 - 2.5 carbs per chaffle. They cooked nice and fluffy but were slightly crispy on the outside. I used Walden Farms Maple Pancake Syrup mixed in with melted butter. Put just a few chocolate chips and some Valentine's sprinkles on top.
Here’s how Mayra made these yummy waffles!
You could also use natural peanut butter instead of almond butter or any other nut butter. You could add fresh fruit, whatever you like!
Add some bacon for a nice Valentine’s Day breakfast with the ones you love! 🩷
This Walden Farms is the best lowest-carb pancake syrup! Zero carbs, Zero calories! I don’t think I want to read the ingredients, though. 😂
