Part 1 of my review of Keto pasta products

I would give up my firstborn child for a plate of pasta! I take that back. It might take a little more than a plate! Ha! Anyway, I think you understand my love of pasta! When I first started Virta, and the keto diet back in 2018, I wasn’t sure life was worth living without pasta. But I soon found ways to still have the pasta I loved! Was it the same? No! But I have tested out SO many low-carb kinds of pasta I think I have found the ones that are pretty darn close, that taste great, but won’t kill us with all the carbs!

I’ve made so many different pasta dishes. Everything from Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo, Gnocchi in Lemon Butter Sauce, Ravioli, Ramen Noodle Soup, and Shrimp Pad Thai! Be sure to look under the Pasta Category for all the recipes!

But here are my favorite low-carb pasta that I think is very good and satisfies my love of pasta! Most are shirataki noodles made with Konjac flour, but some are not. I’ll get to those in a bit. Shirataki noodles have been used in Japanese culture for centuries. They have amazing health benefits. Besides being extremely low carb and low calorie, they are full of fiber, which helps with blood pressure, cholesterol, and gut health. Can Carby pasta do all of that? I think not! So here is my favorite shirataki pasta! 🍝

Miracle Noodles! I really consider them the shirataki noodle pioneer. I remember my very first experience with MN I opened up this fishy-smelling bag, rinsed and rinsed them, cooked them, and after eating my first bite immediately thought, “Oh my heavens I’m eating rubber bands!” 😳 But they have come a long way since then and these are some of my favorite MN products.

This is the new Ready-to-Eat version. This is NOT the original rubber bandy one. For the longest time, this Spaghetti Mari area was my go-to pasta. It is SO good and could fool some people into thinking it’s carby pasta. At least if you try it, I hope you think that! The Spaghetti Marinara is the only Ready-to-Eat flavor I can recommend, unfortunately, because the others have too many carbs, in my opinion, from added sugar and other ingredients. But the Spaghetti Marinara is only six carbs per serving with good ingredients. There isn’t much sauce, so I use it for anything. You technically could rinse it, but I never do.

Here’s a good link to try them out. You get 5% off your first order.

Another good Miracle Noodle product are these Keto Meals. I thought they were very tasty and saved some time because they were already seasoned. About 6-8 carbs per serving. The ingredients are good. Even the Teriyaki is made with stevia. A little soy, but I don’t eat these every day, so I think it’s OK on occasion. I’ll add my protein or veggies, also.

You can find all the Miracle Noidle products here!

Stay tuned for Pastabilities Part 2; there is more pasta to come! 😊
