This cream cheese spaghetti is so good, you can’t tell it’s not carby pasta!
Make sure you get the ready-to-eat marinara, they are the best noodles. I believe they are going to be selling the plain ones again very soon. You don‘t have to rinse them, just put them in whatever you are making.
I made my marinara sauce, but Rao’s is excellent! You can purchase it at Walmart and online.
For homemade marinara, I don’t have a recipe written down, so sorry! But it’s basically:
2 large cans of crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 onion chopped
garlic to taste, I put lots
fresh basil and oregano or dried herbs
garlic powder
onion powder
fennel seeds, just because I love them
Italian seasoning
red pepper flakes
cream cheese
Italian sausage about 2 packages
Salt and Pepper or One and Done seasoning salt
Brown the sausage, and remove it from the pan. Add onion and sauté until tender, then add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add tomato paste and cook that for a minute or two then add the crushed tomatoes. cook for about 15 minutes. Add all the other ingredients except cream cheese. Cook for another 30 minutes. Might need to add some water. Add the cream cheese shortly before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if you have it, and Parmesan cheese. So yummy!
